Full Metal Cruise XIII – Part I

Europe's loudest cruise sets sail from Palma de Mallorca, where history, culture and culinary highlights blend perfectly with genuine metal spirit. As Trallery demonstrated at Full Metal Holiday 2022, Mallorca truly embodies the metal lifestyle! With its magical stained glass windows, the cathedral is just one of the many attractions that make Palma the ideal place to set sail, alongside alternative neighbourhoods and charming record shops.
Day two is a day at sea, which we spend relaxing in bars, pools, at Metal Wellness and, of course, in front of the stages, before reaching our second stop, Barcelona, the following day. The home of the 2009 Metal Battle winner Crisix is famous for its lively music scene: the Marina district is packed with metal clubs, while the Rock Museum attracts visitors with an immersive tour through the history of heavy music and legendary guitars from Jimi Hendrix and Paul Stanley to Kirk Hammett and Dave Mustaine. Those who prefer to explore the city can discover Gaudí's masterpieces, the famous Ramblas or relax on the nearby city beach. Fortified with pa amb tomàquet, botifarra or crema catalana, we are then ready to rock the sea once again at the gigs on board.
The very next day, we arrive in Marseille, the capital of Provence. Watching over the city high above is the ‘Bonne Mère’, the patron saint of Marseille and sailors, to whom we ask for a spectacular finale to Part I of Europe's loudest cruise. Culture lovers can experience history up close in the narrow streets of the old town, Le Panier, while the cultural centre La Friche is pulsating with modern creativity and alternative lifestyles. Provence is also rich in myths and legends, such as the dragon of Nerthe and the witch of Marseille, whose spirit is said to haunt the harbour to this day.
With the taste of delicious bouillabaisse still on our tongues, we set off on our final day at sea, allowing our impressions to sink in and gathering our strength for the last onboard shows before Mein Schiff 6 returns to Palma after six loud and legendary days. For those whose cruise ends here, there is still time to explore Palma's vibrant metal scene in the evening before heading home. To those staying on board, we wish you lots of fun with Part II!
